Raphael Gevers is a partner of the Commercial practice group.  He works at the Brussels office.

Raphael specializes in bankruptcy and reorganization, company restructuring and composition procedures, a branch of law he is teaching at the UCL-Mons (Université Catholique Louvain-Mons).  Raphael assists clients in any restructuring that may be necessary to ensure the survival of the enterprise.

A thorough understanding of the sectors in which the clients operate means that Raphael can provide a realistic and informed approach to reorganization (equivalent to the US chapter 11) or formal insolvency procedures.

Besides the vast experience Raphael acquired by working with a trustee, he advises clients in bankruptcy proceedings, whether the clients involved are creditors or troubled enterprises.

Raphael is also in charge of a great part of the firm’s litigation cases and of the debt recovery cases, ensuring an optimal recovery at a strictly controlled cost.  With a thorough knowledge of proceedings, such as seizure for security, this allows the protection of the interests of the clients against refractory debtors.
