Raphael Bailly co-heads the IP, IT & TMT firmwide practice and works in the Brussels office.
Raphael has built his 15-year strong international experience by specializing in technology, intellectual property and telecoms law.
In 2010-2011 Raphael was General Counsel at Capgemini Australia, covering Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He has successfully negotiated complex, multi-jurisdiction, high value deals and specializes in outsourcing deals and offshoring in India, China and South East Asia.
Before that, Raphael worked as General Counsel in Belgium. He handled a whole range of legal issues, disputes and contracts and has developed a business-focused approach.
Raphael started his legal career in an international law firm, where he worked on international deals in Brussels, London and Paris. Based in Brussels, he developed a strong litigation and commercial law expertise, particularly in Belgian and French data protection, intellectual property, e-commerce and corporate law.
He has also a strong experience in online and mobile payments, e-signatures and e-invoicing regulations.
Raphael developed an extensive experience in a whole range of telecom and internet matters including telephony licenses, data services and communication services licenses, internet IP infringement disputes. He worked for large telecom groups and advised them on various telecom matters.
He has a substantial experience of dealing with regulators including the Belgian and European Regulatory Authorities.
